The Every Move Counts is a voluntary, community-based fitness challenge organised by Every Move Counts to encourage physical activity and wellbeing.

By participating in this challenge, you acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and medically able to take part in any activities you choose to undertake. Participation is voluntary and entirely at your own risk.

You acknowledge that participation in physical activity involves inherent risks, including, but not limited to injury, illness or accident. By participating, you voluntarily accept and assume all such risks.

The organisers of the challenge do not provide medical, fitness, nutritional, or healthcare advice. Any information shared through the challenge or the associated app/platform is provided for general information purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice.

 

The organisers do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability or availability of any app, tracking system or digital platform used in connection with the challenge.

The challenge is not supervised or monitored in real time. Participants are solely responsible for how, when and where they undertake activities. The organisers are not responsible for the condition, safety or suitability of any location, equipment, or third party-party facilities used by participants.

If you have any concerns about your health, a pre-existing medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or are new to exercise, you should consult a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional before participating.

Participants are responsible for:

• Exercising within their own capabilities and fitness levels;

• Monitoring their own health and wellbeing during participation;

• Taking appropriate rest, hydration, and recovery measures; and

• Stopping activity and seeking medical advice if they experience any adverse symptoms.

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organisers, sponsors, funding partners and participating organisations shall not be liable for any loss, injury, illness, damage, or expense (including indirect or consequential loss) arising out of or in connection with participation in the challenge. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury causes by negligence, fraud or any other liability which cannot be excluded by law.
