Frequently Asked Questions

1

What does it cost?

It's FREE, thanks to our friends at Gojoe. No money is required to join this challenge download or use the App.

2

Who can take part?

If you work in or support the field of health and care, you’re welcome. That includes doctors, nurses, dentists, carers, and the paediatric team — but also everyone who keeps health and care running: admin, receptionists, accountants, consultants, IT, legal, logistics and premises teams. You might work in adult social care, for a local authority, or in public health. Whatever your role, if you support health and care, this is for you.

3

How much time do I need to commit and what happens if I want to drop out?

The challenge runs for the whole of September. You don’t have to be active every day,  just take part when you can, and every bit of movement counts towards your team’s total. And if life gets in the way and you need to step back, that’s completely fine — there’s no pressure and no penalty. We’d just ask you to let your team captain know.

4

What kind of activity counts?

This isn’t a step-counter. It’s about dedicated activity — a deliberate effort to move, whether that’s a run, a swim, a cycle, a yoga session, a gym workout or a proper walk. The everyday steps you rack up around the office or home don’t count; this is about carving out time to move, in whatever way works for you.

5

I want to take part but don't have a team

On this occasion, we are only accepting full teams rather than individuals.

6

What happens after I register?

We’ll email you to confirm your participation and share what’s next. Before the challenge starts, we’ll send recorded instructions to help you get set up, and we’ll host a welcome call to walk everyone through it. Team captains will also be added to a WhatsApp group so you’ve got direct support in the run-up to September.
